Powdered refractory repair mortar - 2 kg tub
Rath refractory mortar is a chemically setting powdered repair mortar.
It is suited to quick, permanent repairs of damaged areas in ovens and fireboxes reaching temperatures of up to 1000°C. Sold in 2 kg tubs.

⚠️ The holes and cracks to be filled must not exceed 10 mm in depth.
Instructions for use:
- Stir dry before taking the required quantity into a clean container.
- Mix small quantities in a bowl with clean tap water using a spatula to the desired consistency and use within 30 minutes. Warm mixing water and/or a warm substrate speed up the setting time.
- The mortar must be applied to both surfaces to be bonded.
- The mortar can be exposed to fire after a minimum of 24 hours' drying (leave the firebox door and the stove dampers open for good ventilation).
- Keep the substrate dry, dust-free and grease-free.
- In the case of wet cuts, remove the cutting slurry and let the residual moisture evaporate
- Water demand: depending on the desired consistency, around 17% to 22%.
- There is no need to wet the substrate: use as little water as possible
⚠️Do not remix a mortar that has begun to set; dispose of it with the site waste.
Storage:
Rath refractory mortar keeps for 12 months, away from damp, frost and sunlight.
Storage temperature is 15°C to 25°C.
