Description:
In paste form and formulated from alkaline earth silicate wool mixed with high-temperature binders, the fibre-reinforced sealant dries into a strong insulating structure with low thermal conductivity. It withstands thermal shock and temperatures of up to 1200° and offers good adhesion and low shrinkage.
Applications:
The fibre-reinforced sealant is a multi-purpose product, as it can be used for various applications:
- Filling cracks in refractory linings and expansion joints
- Hot repairs to structures
- Moulding small parts
- Sealing fibrous linings
Instructions for use:
Applied with a trowel or injected directly with a reservoir gun, the product can dry at room temperature. As this process is slow, however, it is recommended to light your heating appliance so as to reach a temperature of around 100 °. On first lighting, some gas may be given off at high temperatures. Ensure good ventilation to remove the fumes.
Storage:
The sealant can be kept for 6 months in a dry place at a storage temperature of between 5 and 20 ° (frost can damage the product and excessive heat can shorten its shelf life).
