👉 The 330 mm sliding straight length in 2 mm black painted steel connects the heating appliance to the chimney flue: its male end slides into the pipe below to give a working length of up to 245 mm, and once adjusted, its clamping ring locks the pipe in place.
It therefore allows the stove pipe to be fitted and removed easily, in particular for maintenance.
Example: If the sliding pipe is connected to a 50 cm pipe, you get a total length of 745 mm maximum.
🔥As a reminder, flue pipes must be installed in the direction of the condensates, i.e. male end downwards.
What are the advantages of 2 mm painted steel?
✅ Resistant to high temperatures of up to 600°C.
✅ Does not deform under the effect of heat
✅ Substantial 2 mm thickness that ensures robustness and safety over time
✅ Excellent value for money
⚠️ Reminder of the safety distances according to the NF DTU 24.1 standard:
The safety distance to be kept between a single-wall connecting flue pipe and a combustible material (plasterboard, panelling, PVC, OSB, etc.) is 3 times the nominal diameter of the pipe, with a minimum of 37.5 cm.
However, this distance can be reduced to 1.5 times the diameter of the pipe (with a minimum of 20 cm) by using insulation such as calcium silicate boards (fitted with an air gap) or wall protection boards with built-in insulation.
