"Kaminbauplatten" board 750 x 500 x 35 mm for cladding modern storage heaters. Ortner "Kaminbauplatten" cladding elements have been designed for the technical requirements of new homes. Thanks to their exceptional heat storage, heat is stored more evenly and for longer. Ortner "Kaminbauplatten" cladding boards guarantee low surface temperatures and a longer storage time, which are needed in energy-saving and passive houses.

"Kaminbauplatte" cladding board 750 x 500 x 35 mm
The Ortner "Kaminbauplatte" cladding board is a modern building board specially developed for lightweight fireplace construction. The Kaminbauplatte provides balanced heat conduction in closed hypocaust systems.
Thanks to their specific heat conduction characteristics, the boards have an even radiating surface, which prevents the cladding from overheating too quickly and allows slow, even diffusion of the heat from the core of the stove.
Applications:
- The boards are characterised by high dimensional accuracy and easy installation. Allows clean, easy construction with a wide variety of shapes.
The point load of 50 kg over a 50 cm span must not be exceeded.

Use:
At 35 mm thick, the Kaminbauplatte is self-supporting and only needs to be screwed in areas subject to additional stress. When bonding the boards, make sure the surface is clean and dust-free (before bonding, remove dust with a damp sponge).
The boards can be worked with a suitable cutting tool or with the Ortner brick cutter.
First apply a thin contact layer before bonding the boards together.
For fixing, you can use an adhesive mortar: HaftMörtel Das Original, an adhesive mortar: HaftMörtel "Creme", or the HaftKleber adhesive. Then remove the excess. The Ortner "Kaminbauplatten" range is an ideal substrate for all types of Ortner renders and finishes.
Important notes:
- Keep the substrate dry, dust-free and grease-free
- For wet cuts, remove the cutting slurry and let the residual moisture evaporate
- There is no need to wet the substrate: use as little water as possible
- Maintain a working temperature > 5°C
- Apply the finishing render in accordance with the guideline
