Kit for 4 sweeping hatches Ø 180 mm for masonry heater
Kit for making discreet sweeping hatches to be built into the cladding of masonry heaters, giving access to the heat-storage system for maintenance. We offer a pack for making 4 sweeping hatches in 180 mm diameter.
Other packs are available for 3, 5 and 6 sweeping hatches.

This kit includes:
✅ 4 scratch-resistant stainless steel discs (Magnelis), 2 mm thick, 180 mm diameter
✅ Self-adhesive glass fibre tape, 25 mm wide (3 mm thick), to be stuck to each of the 4 hatches to ensure a seal
✅ 1 cartridge of black silicone resistant to 300°
⚠️ Paint not included
Advice for making the hatches in 180 mm outer diameter:
- Drill the cladding with a hole saw of 150 mm diameter maximum
- Keep the piece of cladding and stick the self-adhesive tape to its edge as many times as needed for a perfect seal
- Apply black silicone to the piece of cladding
- Stick on the metal disc, taking care to centre it
- Leave to dry for a day and the hatch is ready to fit
