Related products:
Composed mainly of air lime and fired clay finely ground at 600°, which gives it very good hydraulicity, the refractory lime render/mortar gives a smooth finish (comparable to plaster-rendered facades) and has the advantage of being a natural product that is inherently breathable.
➡️ Particularly rich and creamy, which makes it easy to apply, lime render shows no shrinkage cracking or micro-crazing.
It offers many creative possibilities (colour blends, textures...)
Fields of application:
✅ Lime render can be applied to all types of substrate (concrete, brick, stone, concrete block, aerated concrete, plasterboard, render, ...) covered by DTU26-1, provided the preparation advice is followed.
✅ It can be used for your base coats, scratch coats and finishing coats. It is also a versatile mortar ideal for old masonry work, flashings, chimney stacks, repointing stone walls...
Yield:
🔥 Finishing render: the recommended coat thickness for finishing is 5 to 8 mm, applied in several passes.
🔥 Mortar: can be used for joints from 2 mm to 10 mm thick.
Allow around 1.5 to 1.6 kg of render per m² and per mm of thickness.
Example: 1 bag of 25 kg therefore covers an area of around 3.3 m² with a 5 mm thick coat.
Instructions for use:
- The lime mortar/render should be mixed for 3 to 5 minutes maximum, adding 4 to 5 litres of clean water per bag.
- For a perfect floated finish, it is best to apply a 10 mm thick coat of render and scratch it with a spiked float as soon as it firms up, to ensure a flat surface, then go over it with a sponge float to give it a smooth, matt look.
- A new pass can be applied as soon as the render firms up, saving time at each stage of application.
- As drying varies greatly depending on the absorbency of the substrate, ensure gentle, steady ventilation.
- Final stabilisation takes 4 to 7 days maximum.
Packaging:
The product comes in 25 kg paper bags, sold individually or on pallets of 48 bags.
Storage:
- Stored away from damp and frost, in its original packaging, the render keeps for 1 year from the date of manufacture.
- Remove the pallet cover if it is not to be used immediately
