Designed by Thermasse and built by Install' Renov, this giant "snail" is not just a high-performance heating system; it is the beating heart of a pioneering eco-designed renovation project.

A technical and educational challenge for the benefit of the children:

  • Organic design: A snail-shaped silhouette clad in terracotta and light-coloured renders, designed to invite gentleness and imagination.

  • Safety and comfort: Installed in a school welcoming 250 children, this heater meets the strictest safety standards while providing healthy radiant heat.

  • Virtuous materials: Set within a timber-framed building insulated with organic straw, the heater uses thermal mass to turn wood into lasting heat.

    Why come?
It is a rare opportunity to see how non-standard techniques (HQE, timber-straw, earth)
combine with a modernised age-old heating method to create the schools of tomorrow.
The heater will be warm and accessible, protected by its elegant glass guard rail that allows safe viewing.

On the programme for this meeting:

✅ Discussion: Meet the builder (Install' Renov) and the design team (architect) to discover what went on behind the scenes of this extraordinary project.

✅ Demonstration: Feel the thermal mass of terracotta and understand how high-performance combustion works.

✅ Conviviality: Refreshments will be provided on site to talk about your energy transition projects.
