- Insulating the annular space around flues, roof frame and joist junctions, lower parts of sloping ceilings....
- Making vermiculite concrete for the domes of wood-fired ovens, barbecues...
Advantages:

- Low density
- Non-allergenic and non-irritant

- Simple and quick to use
To make vermiculite concrete, the recommended proportion is 1 part calcium aluminate cement to 4 parts vermiculite. Add the water gradually until you obtain the desired texture (liquid concrete if you are pouring an insulating slab, for example, and a fairly thick "modelling clay" consistency if you are using it to cover and insulate the dome of an oven, for example).
