👉 The anti-downdraught cowl is the part that finishes off the top of the double-skin flexible flue liner: it is used to keep wind out and, above all, to stop flue gases blowing back down the liner. It is also fitted with a bird guard to stop birds nesting inside.
Its built-in adjustable clamp allows it to fit several flue liner diameters. It can also be used on a rigid single-wall flue, for example to vent the flue gases from a wood-fired oven.
It can also be used on a rigid single-wall flue, for example for:
➡️ Venting the flue gases from a wood-fired oven, bread oven, pizza oven...
➡️ Venting the flue gases from a wood stove whose existing masonry chimney flue has been lined with a rigid liner.
