Professional construction of a masonry heater from a kit with the help of plans and materials supplied by Cœur de Foyer.

For this renovation project on an old building, the client wanted to install a made-to-measure masonry heater fitting the plans proposed by the architect.

After several exchanges with the architect and the clients, including discussion of the technical constraints and the aesthetic and functional wishes, we finalised the project together, which Thermasse formalised as a 3D file using the modular products offered through Coeur de Foyer:

A made-to-measure Austrian-type heater, built entirely in masonry on site (Grundofen), with a log store and an oven.

With a comfortable heat store in the form of a heated bench. Built with Durasic modules, ideal for easily giving shape to any masonry heater idea.

To make construction simple and enjoyable, we provided the installer with plans showing the masonry heater
with the core in its final form and the cladding from several angles, so that he could assemble the masonry heater as easily as possible.
Here you can see the plans compared with reality, with the fitting of the air inlet damper and the cleaning door.

To keep the flexibility it needs to absorb dimensional variations and thermal shocks, we use a brick specially designed for building combustion chambers. The core is laid with a refractory clay mortar specially suited to the bricks used.
